Just out of quriosity(sp), what are the advantages of each? I know they hold more oil for better cooling than just a regular shock.

same thing, different style, choose whatever you think looks better :D

The point of a rezzy is for cooling, like you said. Piggybacks tend to cool a little bit better, because the oil has less of a distance to travel to cool the shock. The reasom they offer both is because on some applications, a piggyback is not possible.

piggyback is a little more out there if you crash it could hit something and then it would be costly to repair. I have seen it done to my uncles in a cross country race he flipped and hit a rock just right that it broke the piggyback. AN advantagee to renmote rzzie is that you can put it on the inards of your frame and in a spot that will get more air and generally remote rzzies hold more oil and stay cooler longer because there is the oil in the lines and the same amount of oil in the resevoir as in the piggyback. so you get more oil to yoyur shock which lets it cool better and your shocks qwont fade as quickly.

i have remote rezzys and i like them because it adds extra protection and looks cool...lol i think more companys should start making piggybaks behind the shock...kinda what honda did with the 450R...JMO:cool:

I was told that remote rezzies cool better cause they are farther away from the shock and the oil cools in the lines along with the rezzie.

If I was to buy new shocks again I would get the piggybacks...having a stearing dampner and remote rezzy's are just to much hassle to try and find space up front....

sporttrx is correct the oil has less didtance to travel and it stays cooler that way

I prefer piggyback's just for the ease of installation. I have had both and never noticed any differences other than that.

LOL, I know what you mean. I've got a Denton stablizer coming and I'm already looking for space. I was looking to get an LT front set up but with remotes. I already have my rear elka remote up front. Space is tight, and with my handle bar lights coming denton was the better way to go then Scott.

the remote rezzies have greater oil capacity from the oil on the lines and i think they look cooler

For ppl with light front ends (hondas). The remote rezzies will add more weight to the front than pigs.

I've had both and like the Piggybacks better. With a steering stabilizer it's a much better setup.
