I have been thinking about going back to Cut Turfs and grooved radials. Anybody still running this setup? I have Holeshot mx fronts and Klaws on ther rear but I want to be able to come into the corners faster without tipping. I could do this a lot better with the old school setup. Any Opinions?

Hell yeah man go for it.

I am running Razr MX front and rear now with beadlocks but I also have a set of grooved tamers and radials on a separate set of rims that are non beadlock that I run sometimes. I also used to run this setup and still do sometimes...

It just seems like I can corner a lot faster with the old setups. Klaws have great traction but it also seems like you have to fight the machine more to stay flat around corners.

yea i think i may go back to the turfs after my holeshots wear off. turfs are great and they last long too.

I totally agree about the mud issues but I dont ride in mud no more! I wont ride at all before I ride in mud!

I've never ran anything else but tamers/radials. Of course everyone says they suck in the mud, but every MX tire does, because it's and MX tire, not a mud tire, lol.

i'm not sure the grooved radials hold a candle to the new MX fronts, IMO, but the Tamers are just a killer back tire for racing

It really comes down to the track. Tracks that get hard packed, the radials will work superbly, especially for braking. More loamy tracks, the newer style MX tires will track a little better.

I think I will just by another set of rims and keep both sets of tires.
