Should I or shouldnt I cut them? Is it worth it, and how is it when it comes to riding in mud?

I had mine cut and I didn't like it. The mud was no big deal but the water was. Every time I hit a puddle or even wet grass my arms would get soaked. It does help the looks to trim the dumbo ears off. I ended up going with fullbore full fronts to fix the looks.

if you do cut them, here is a tip,if your coming up to a puddle lift the front end up over it....dun't ever get wet:devil: just dont hit the throttle to much and fall off into the puddle like i did:(

When I cut them should I remove the bracket that holds the fender to the frame?

Use a hach saw. It cuts threw the plastic clean and easy.

a razer blade works real good cause it dont leave any edges like the other and leaves a much better look when finshed

i cut my plastic and i like it as long as its dry but now that i put a yz 250 motor on it the front is never on the ground to make a differance

after your done go over the edges with a lighter to bring the natural color of the plastics back instead of that faded *** look

no i didnt i have 250x white plastic w/ a red gas tank cover. so my plastic was not faded at all if you cut it its best to make an outline out of paper or cardboard box so you will have somthing to go by and so they will be even i had to do that on my race bikes cause you dont wont one longer than the other.

good luck

a couple months ago i shaved mine off and i havent regretted it. most of the water and mude flies right by u. wht r u doin ridin if u dont wanna get a lil wet anyway?

i used a jig saw for the straight cut, then cut by hand with a regular saw to get over the curve. then i filed it down, rough sanded it, fine sanded it, and used a propane torch to shine up the edges. it looks factory. i couldnt be happier. and i dint at first, but then ended up goin back and taking off the brackets and it looked alot better. and i just trimmed back the rubber mud flap thing.

o and for yr outline, electrical tape works best because it gives a little bit side to side, allowing u to follow the curves u want, and switch it up easily for the look u want.
