This car was built by H&R springs for the 2004 SEMA show in Las Vegas. It was in Ford's booth with other tuned Mustang's. The engine and trans was left alone buth the brakes, body, interior and suspension were all tweeked.. Pretty cool huh..

The rear wing is functional to a point. As is the front spoiler. The vehicle was dropped approx 2 inch's from stock. Rear control arm's changed and bigger brake's for the obvious reason's. This car was set up as a platform for H&R performance suspension product's however it needed some extra pizzazz for the show.

The rear wing does help to squat the car @ speed. it would be more useful on a road race track (Gingerman road course).

If you look at the Trans Am cars of the late 60
's early 70's you will see the use of rear deck wing's to help the car perfom better. This wing is a bit extreme but fully functional.

The roof vent however is all show and no go.. Not useful for a street car.

Hopefully I will get to order my 05 Mustang "body in white" here within a few months to start building my new drag car with:devil:

Theres a pic of one somewhere on the net that has a basic drag pac on it with Bogart drag on star wheels (3 1/2 front and 10'' rears), a cowl hood and a funny car type cage in it, that beeotch is off the chain!

Nice stang, my mom just orderd one of those stangs from ford. She customised it all, so it wont be in till march. Its gonna be a sick car. Fully loaded, Deep Red, with black and red leather interior, V8, Bullet Rims, and a whole shuit load more of goodies. She doesnt want it till spring so she doesnt have to drive it in the winter, so by the end of march ill get ya all some pics, you'll like it.

She also got a costom decal put on the side of the 05 stang, do u know how the old Boss mustange had the little black decal on the side of the car that ran along the base of the car and over the back fender ? all boss's had them, it was a racing stripe. Well shes getting that on her new stang, it should look pretty trick.

i like the wheels and brakes. oh and the hood looks alright. the rest of it looks gay. i hope someday the trends with street cars will move away from the rice.

Other than the wing..... what rice.... This thing is fairly typical of the kind of street modded car's we see here at The Tire Rack. Most of my customers show up here with cars that have mod's which are completely useful. The paint on this car is stock (sonic blue) the hood is a massive sticker as well as the GS stripe on the driver mirror.

The cage is fully functional and welded to the frame. I don't do rice very well myself, however if you've ever had the opportunity to run an NSX through it's gear's on a road course you may have a newfound love for these automobile's.

I've come to term's with my prejudice against rice. You should to.
;)

I will add this also.. this thing handle's better (with the mod's)than any American Iron in it's price range.

Just thought I'd share this with you guy's. Keep the opinion's coming...

well ok, i might use the word ''rice'' to much. maybe i should have just said stupid and gay. the roof scoop you say is there for looks only? it looks like **** to me. and the adjustable front air dam? thats laughable to. i can live with spoilers. but look how fast nascars go with their spoilers. now compare the size of them. i bet that one on the mustang is good for atleast 300mph+. now to the insides. aint nothing like a huge speaker box mixed in with a cage. and whats up with all the swiss cheese shelves? now thats some nice sheetmetal work right there. it looks like they made it out some crappy shelves that came out of a 1980 K-mart. but the cargo net holding the helmet sets it off. and is that bolts i see in the X brace in the rear of the cage? i dunno it might not be, the rest of it looks welded out. the paint looks pretty good. and i like the stance. but they should have spent alot of that money on the drivetrain you said they left alone.

Yeah, FORD would'nt let them do anything to the drive train. That may be in the Spring time. Judging from your opinions I would say that your not much for adding your own personal flare to a vehicle, that's cool. SEMA demand's this kind of BLING because it is what get's the look's and interest.

I appreciate your opinions but not your sarcasm.

Thanks for playing.

I was starting to appreciate them after a friend picked up a 03
Cobra and used it as a test bed for his new dyno...

Ended up with 710 @ the wheels with bolt on's (albeit exspensive)... Too many details for me to remeber. The 710 was not cunducive to street driving.. just to damn finicky...

Street friendly was around 590-610 @ the wheels.
