chassis question please repond

hey whats up? i was wondering...which is lighter a 250r rolling chassis or a 400ex rolling chassis? please respond asap:macho

I have both and when I rebuilt them, the 400ex frame was alittle bit lighter, but the engine seemed like it wieghed about 20 - 30 pounds more. So as far as rolling chassis I would have to say 400ex

id have to say the 400ex because of the subframe.

The 400ex frame and rolling chassis are lighter. Round tubing frame has less material in it than the square stuff on the 250R. Also, the a-arms and swingarm have less material in them.

The 400ex frame is slightly taller and wider, so there is more room to put a hybrid motor in it, but it still won't handle quite like the R.

well i am going to be putting a cr 85 engine in it so the space for the motor doesnt really matter but does the 250r handle a lot better then the 400ex? thanks

They handle very similar, but the 250R is best by far.

most mini mod quads use a 250r frame. they handle the best STILL!
