Valve shims question

I think i read some where on here that the stock shims have what size they are written on the bottom, is that true or bs? I can read a micrometer but that would make it alot easier. i already ordered the hotcams shim kit and need to re-shim both intake and exhaust valves on the right side. Intake is at .005" and exhaust is at .008" after about 30-35 hours use with oil changes every 5-7 hrs.

How many hours before you made your first adjustment?

I have never had to adjust them I check them every 4 races or so>

well thats good that they are marked, i'll be doing mine soon since i have to install the stage 2 hot cam.

I have the HRC cam and its designed to be a drop in cam. I didnt have to adjust then either. I believe the Hot cam is as well?
