Hey guys anyone have an avalanche, or ever see someone toting their quad around with one? I know that the tailgate will likely have to stay down, but was just curios if it will fit?

I am truck shopping and this is one of my options.

My buddy fits his new raptor 350 in the back of an avalanche. I'm pretty sure a bigger quad would work too.

I think you'd be better off with a crew cab truck..those things are butttttt! lol..my opnion..but you can get one of the bed extenders and it should fit fine.

If they do fit, it would be a tight fit, and it foresure wouldnt fit any quad with extended a-arms ! i doubt +1 wold even fit in those boxes.

they should fit if you leave the tailgate down

I agree with the other kid, Go for the 2500 crew-cab!

By looking at my neighbors, id say they would fit, with the TG down, if your going more than stock width u might be pushing it, Id say +1 a-arms, with a 4-1 offset front end would work.(stock width)

LoL when u go test drive one, bring your quad and tell the sales person u gona have to try it, before u buy it!

I have a Dakota Quad Cab (recently hit) that my 400 ex fits in the back of just fine. The box is only like 5' 6" with the gate up, so you have to run with the gate down and the quad strapped in real good, but I've had zero probs.

Nope my dad has one and our grizzly 125 wont fit... but the rack hang alot over that. My 300 fits in with the gate down with alot of space. also u could convert it into were it goes into the truck.

My buddy has an avalanche and he fits his honda foreman in it without a problem. I think they look much better without all the plastic.

I really like our avalanche we can get my 400ex with +1 arms and xc tires and a cannondale in the back with an extension of course and when we are pulling a trailer we put the midgate down and put an airmattress in the back, but if you are looking for fuel milage I would go with the diesel if the avalanche came in a diesel we would keep ours. but pulling a trailer and driving 80 we get 7-10 mpg  empty driving 80 we get 13-14 mpg

LOL tommy was tellin me how your tahoe took a crap on him. I think the avalanches look queer, a truck or even a newer tahoe would be kool.

personally i like the avalanche better then my silverado... they seem to ride better and go better in the snow because of the weight...

his avy gets around 17mpg and my silverado is around 16... no clue pulling trailers thou

an '04 banshee fits no prob in avalanche, friend of mine has one. but he has the big block and after 30k started burnin oil bad so he traded it in, hes a gm technition too. for toting a quad around alot, id say get a pick-up cause its less dinking round with the folding the plastic midgate gadgets around

any quad that will fit between the wheels wells of a full size chevy truck will fit in a avalanche. It can fit a quad 49" wide. and it would be really close to the tail gate closing!

About any atv will fit. We've put a Rincon, my wider Z440, and my wider 450R in mine. I love my Avalanche. It doesn't have all the plastic crap on the sides, so its a lot better looking. Plus, like someone else said, they are awesome in the snow!!! We just got between 15-19 inches and it was amazing. It weighs a ton more than a Silverado. I've had two Silverados and I'm beyond happy with my Avalanche.

last year i seen a widened YFZ450 in th back of one with the tail gate down.
