Go with the tall tires for mud and snow!

Never rode up there in Maine. I hear it gets a lot of snow though. If you say you do a lot of muddy trails, sounds to me the taller 22" rear tires and the 23" front tires might be the best recommendation. Just know that if you get the taller tires, they may add a lot more weight than your current tires, but I think in your application, going for the added ground clearance is worth more then the weight difference. You may want to go to a "1 tooth" smaller front sprocket if you go with the 22" rear tires.

Good luck!

BTW, I run 22" rears and 23" fronts most of the time..... But I really like the stock tires the best for handling!!!

Just go with the bigger tire that you can get for mud and snow.

im running 23 front holeshots and 22 holeshots in rear. the 22's work excellent for me in the mud races. almost never hit the rear skid, and traction is great, they want to make the bike feel a little top heavy versus 20's but for an all year tire ther' hard to beat, especially for racing. I bought a new set of 20" holeshots from Jeff at the Quadshop for the dry summer her in the mid south but haven't tried them yet. Good luck my 2 cents.

22" realtors are the hands down best 2x4 snow tire out there.

I just went to a 22" shredder and I love the extra ground clearance. We have a lot of rocks around here so that extra size realy pays off verses the slight increase in weight.
