I know these threads have been done to death but i still can't find the answer. Would a 14t front sprocket help in the dunes at all. Thank you for any advice. It would be for a 300ex

i've tried a 14 tooth on mine in the sand and didn't like it and went back to the 13 tooth.

What didn't you like about it......what's it like.

even with the mods like k&n filter fmf exhaust and open air box it would not pull the taller gear very well in the sand. i have a cam and piston in it now so i'll try it with the 14 this summer.

Has anyone tried dropping to a 12 tooth in the front for trail riding and hill climbing? I rarely even get it out of 3rd or maybe fourth much when I'm in the woods, but I don't want to gear too low for everywhere else.
