Snow In South Texas?

I heard from my father in law that south texas got snow in the last couple of days. I heard that there is snow from Brownsville to galveston?

Can anyone confirm this story for me?

i live just northeast of houston and i had a lil snow and alot of ice,i had to drive to south houston and bam......that white chit wasa fallin.it also snowed in new orleans,i have family there.

Freeport, Angleton, and Brazoria got about 8 inches of snow. These towns are about 45min South down the coast from Galveston. The last bit of it melted away today.

i definitely got excited about it bc this was my first time to see snow and it was a white christmas which who knows if that has ever happened here!

when i went to chicago for turkey day,the day i got there we got 10 inches of snow.it was pretty cool(brrrr cold) my neice and nephew had me make a snow angel,not that was cold:eek2:

north texas got about 3-4 inches of snow.... did a few days... we are already back in the 60s though.. didnt last long.... most of it melted and turned to ice... it was nice to get it for a change though ;)
