I just did alot of stuff to my 400ex and every thing I did seemed to add more weight.

All this stuff added more weight

Sparks x6 replaced the Big Gun
IMS foot pegs replaced the stock pegs, I love the feel of the IMS pegs though
Hipers front and back replaced the Duglas.
IMS Bumper replaced stock, may be just a bit heavier.
Elka longtravel, and a-arms were heavier than stock.

I was disappointed that I spent money added weight.

Too answer your question though you can take off the rear skid plate, it is a good 2 or 3 pounds, but I would only recomed you do this if you ride nothing but MX, but you still take the chance of damaging something. I took mine off and have seen many MXers without it.

If you MX you could also race cut your plastics, but the weight loss is minimal, maybe a pound on each side, it should also help your aerodynamics. If you buy aftermarket race cut plastics it will remove your headlights, drop the taillight also.

Aluminum shifter and brake pedal.

Remove your E brake and block it off, and get an aftermarket clutch perch since you will not need the E brake anymore.

I also took off my tool box, it was a pound or 2 with the tools in it.
