Gearing- chain Size [Archive]

This is for a 400ex w/ 18in tires

I am going to be running a 15t up front an a 36t in the rear. What size chain do I need?

Just call up rocky mtn. atv and get a DID X-ring chain in like 120 links. No matter what you get you will most likely have to cut it to size so you might as well get the long one. It is like 60 bucks or something which is a killer price since they are usually over 90 or 100 bucks anywhere else...

Bump, anyone running 15/36? What size chain are you using?

I just got 15/38 (stock) with an x-ring. I picked up the front and rear sprocket and the x-ring chain on rocky mountain for $57 for the whole kit!!! Seems to be pretty good stuff so far.
