400ex crankshaft

I have a 2000 400ex that the rod bearing locked up on the crankshaft. i have the crank and rod out of engine but my question is do you get the rod off of the crank, do you press apart the crank or what.

EASIER TO BUY A COMPLETE CRANK FROM HONDA $350, I DID THAT WITH MY HONDA

you will have to take it to a machine shop that has the machine to seperate the crank and then check the rod bearing journal and grind it if necessary, then they will check the rod and if its good reinstall it it or put a new one on if necessary, then they will have to press the crank back together and balance it.
