My 450 has a hot cams stage 1. I want to put in a piston. How much hp to u fellas think I will get with a 11:5:1 or maybe even a 12:5:1.

THANKS!

go with 11:1 so you can still run premium gas in there. You should still get maybe 2 horses out of it and keep the reliability of stock.

ur r still able to run premium pump 93 on 12:1

10.5:1 to 11.5:1 is ~3% gain in rwhp
11.5: to 12.0:1 is ~1.5% gain

so 4.5% gain over stock hp

How much power gain did you notice with the 13:1 pistions. Like really noticeable or not much at all.

i have a question while we are on the subject of fuel octanes if anyone can help?

im in the uk and our petrol is normally 97 octane would this be o.k for 13.5 to 1, and or 12.5 to 1 j.e. pistons?

my engine is flowed and ported anhas hrc kit (if this makes a difference)

im hoping it will be because i havent got a clue where to get race fuel in this country.

thanks in advance
