Allright man! Sorry, i've been doing family christmas like crazy, or else i'd have posted a long time ago!

Here's some instructions (i copy pasted it off of a pm i sent a few guys a while back)

All you need to do it is the 88-89 Maier 250r stock style hood, i got mine from rockymountanatv.com. You have to take the stock headlight off to relocate it, and you have to take the plastic off it and handlebar plastic off. After that, you go up from underneith the stock hood, and unbolt it, there's a few bolts by the steering stem too. Now that the hood is off, you need to cut about a 4-5 inch section off the front of the plastic, right in front of the steering stem, so the headlight will clear. Then, i found it easier to mount the headlight first, you can use the stock mounting screws that were on the headlight, i used a few washers too for some more security, then just drill some holes in the inside edges of the fenders, and mount the hood on on them with the hardware maier gives you, and your set! I did cut the back mounting tabs off of the maier hood, and just mounted it right under the headlight, but thats optional. It looks pretty good i think, its not a hard mod. This is probably hard to understand, so if you don't get this stuff, or need any more help, just pm me, i'd be happy to help you out!

Here's some random pics of mine. Hope they help man! Good Luck! PM me if you need any more advice!

this isnt really a detailed explanation but here it goes, you need to take off the stock hood + drill 2 holes at the bottom in the tabs where the other hood was connected accept in a different spot

then you need to drill 2 more holes up top and cut your tank cover plastic so its not in the way of the hood, may sound confusing or hard but its easy as hell once your have the hood in your hands

go for it

its simple theres a hole in each side of the hood and then you get 2 bolts and 2 washers that screw right into the stock holes in the side of the light, thats probably the easiest part of the whole thing

Yup! There's like a metal cage thing around the stock light, it has the holes already in it, just put in the bolts, and some washers, and your in business!

You don't, you take off the stock hood, trim the front of the tank plastics off, and mount the light to the 250r hood.

So you have to take the stock hood off i thought you had to just drill holes in the stock plastics and bolt the 250R hood ontop of the stock

Yes, the stock hood comes off. The 250r hood takes its place. The front of the top section of the tank plastic (the black part on the newer 300's) gets trimmed off, so the light will clear. It holds up good once you put the 250r hood in.

I don't have any pics, and tried to rig up something on paint, but i can't get it on here, and imagestation won't upload it. Ok, you know where the stock hood is right? You need to take that off. Thee should still be that ring around the top (the gas cap is in part of it). You need to take off about 5 inches across from the front of this ring, clear off from the top of the ring, to the bottom. The trim should be right under the headlight mount that was on the handlebars.
