is a front 250r caliper the same caliper as the rear? what im asking is could i use a 250 front caliper in the rear?

no, I'm told you can use a stock crf450r front caliper with a bracket

Yeah you can run a crf front caliper on the rear. Make sure you get a 02-03 front caliper. JB racing sells the bracket www.jbatvracing.com and service honda has the caliper for $100

There a lot diffrent. Even use diffrent pads.
