does someone make a skid plate for the elka or pep shock linkage that doesn't have to be shimmed ?

no, most people dont shim it, they just cut a hole in the skid plate

Yo Gumpy. I believe Rich at Axe racing makes them and I was on the phone about 2 weeks ago with UM Racing and they are making skids for quads now that run different linkage compared to stock linkage and they're much thicker than normal..:cool:

I'll have a reveiw on one soon at you know where....:scary:

got ya rico, gonna try a pep with my stock rebuild, got hints from laz on how to make it work good till i get some money for a good shock!!!!!!!!!

Wow! I didn't know a simple linkage switch would cause problems with rear skidplates. I have an armadillo and am installing a elka shock and link. Do you think I'm going to have a problem or is this an issolated problem with certain brands? Maybe, if you have an aftermarket skid already, you can cut that protion off and have someone weld it back on with a little more aluminum.

You will most likely need to modify your skid for the linkage.
