Chad can you show a pic of the top side? So we can get a look at the water jackets.

Nice --- I suppose you are measuring the thick part since it's likely the weakest portion of the casting, eh?

Good looking jug though...

Thanks - i'm really pleased with the product thus far

yes, NMotion sells a 520r 101mm piston and cylinder kit. The cylinder pictured is a cylinder I got them to custom make to 99mm

This is a two of a kind cylinder. In other words, they indicated that they would not be selling anymore 99mm cylinders because of the added tooling jigs needed to machine the jug. They'll sell 101mm all day long though.

isnt that a all aluminum nikasil bore on the nmotion cylinder?

or is the sleeve grinded smooth to the cylinder?

so in order to make it thinker they made the water jackets smaller:ermm:
Thanks

no. most of the illusion is overhang casting on the jacket lips. i'll have to clean up the "mouths" a bit. The difference is so small id any at all.

when i clean it up better my install i'll shoot pictures measuring the jacket on stock and new with a micrometer

after cleaning the "Mouths" up a bit- I stand corrected, yes they are less than 1 mm smaller measured on the digital micrometer. in order to make the casting bigger the water jackets had to be smaller width. This still doesn't concern me a bit since coolant flows around and through the cylinder and probally would'nt affect temperature much. If someone is concerned about the jackets being a little smaller they can always cool the coolant more on the radiator side (see PWR Radiator thread).

How much does a 101mm cylinder with piston cost?

i wish i really could help you with the answer to that question. I'm sure someone here has to already bought one. I think oldsandman bought this kit. maybe he can enlighten us all. I think the 520 kit sells for $995- that includes piston rings cylinder and gaskets.
