which fuel pump do i need?

the fuel pump in my 95 dakota is on it's death bed. won't rev past about 2500 RPM, and the pump whines like a lil girl. so i called napa earlier for a price on one, and i come to find that there are 2 different pumps. single bypass and dual bypass. how can i find out which one i need?:confused:

ask a dodge technition or take it out first and take to parts store, or leave it in there and put an inline fuel pump in.

i've decided to just take it out and take it to napa to see which one i need. i just filled up my gas tank. what crappy timing. so instead of emptying the gas tank and hassling with the straps which are undoubtedly rusted in place, i'm just going to take the bed off to change the pump.
