question about installing 440 sleeve in EX

Is their any machine work needed? I got a old 440 kit for a xr400 and the sleeve is too large. my 400 cyl with no sleeve is about 90mm and the piston is 89mm that doesn't leave any room for a sleeve HELP!!!!

you have to take your jug to a machine shop and have it bored out so the 440 sleeve will fit in the jug. the 440 sleeve is a lot bigger than the stock one and wont fit in the jug until you get it bored out so it will accept the larger sleeve. after the sleeve is installed it will need to bored and honed for the piston also.
