The fronts will only fit with MODIFICATIONS! The rear will NOT fit because of the piggy back reservoir

The rear shock on the 450r is shorter than a 400ex in length.

I have heard the rear can fit and the rear cant fit... Someone said it will fit if you mod the air box to where the piggy back wont hit.. And then someone said it wont fit all together.. Im more confused now than before I posted the thread.. LOL.. And I just sent the money for the 450R shocks..LOL

I have the 450R shocks front and back on my 400EX. The rear shock is shorter than the 400EX rear shock so you will sit a little lower, it bolts right on without any modifications. The front shocks take a little modification. You must remove the fender mount nut which is welded is welded on right next to the top of the shock. You also need to bend minutely a thin piece of metal which impedes the 450R shock from going down. PM me if you have any questions. The 450R shocks work good on the track. I have to adjust the compression significantly for my 180 pound frame when switching to trail riding.
