450R shocks for a 400ex???

They say the front shocks from a 450R will fit a 400ex but will the rear shock fit without mods???If mods what kind??

I just tried to put a elka 400ex shock on my r.The 400ex shock is 1 1/8" longer,so a 450r shock would work on yours but it would sit lower.

well that will work even better.. But the R shocks have the piggy backs on them also.. So Im wondering if they will hit on the carb snorkle or air box????

When we tried to the 450r shock on my buddies 400ex, and the piggyback hit the cases, and when we fliped it, it was hitting the airbox, Im saying it would fit, but u might have to use a heat gun or somthing to form the plastic! good luck, and get back to me on this!
