I'm looking to get an eclosed trailer for my quad, but have a couple of questions.

Here is what I would like:

14' and 7' wide
Rear Ramp
Side door

I'll be pulling this with a 1/2 Chevy Pickup 2wd

Here is my questions
1) Is a V-nose worth the extra money, I don't plan on towing every weekend, but also plan on having the trailer for several years

2) Is dual axles worth the extra cost

3) Where is the best place to buy in the midwest (websites?)

4) What should I expect to spend

Any other suggustions, or things that I should look out for?

1) yes the v-nose gives you alot of extra space, it is very nice!

2) Dual axles will pull much nicer, it wont sway on the road as much!

3)Not sure on that one

4)around $3,500, give or take

Well.. dual axles are well worth the cost, less bump and your trailer wont bouce around as much, softer ride for the trailer, plus much more stable.

i had the same exact trailer as your wanting, except wasnt a V nose, mine was dual axles and ramp door and 7x14... dual axles are a lot better than single, pulls so much better and more stable...the V nose will help with gas mileage and cut air drag..we pulled ours with a 4wd tahoe, pulled great, we give 4000 brand new, had cabinets, stone guard, and a finished inside

Dual axles = YES!!!

Best place to buy is northern Indiana because that is where they are all made, you will save $2,000 driving there to get it. Check out www.mobilestructures.com

The cheapest I have found so far is.

John Trailer Sales

or Cardinal Trailer Sales

they both have websites.

There's a place west of Indy that has a huge selection, probably 10 acres of trailers. They had Haulmark 7 x 12 dual torsion axles (no v-nose) with white walls, 3/4 " floor, brakes with battery and ramp door for $3200. Sorry, I can't remember the name, but they advertise in Cycle Trader down here and probably up by Chicago also...

the v-nose also pulls better and gets better gas mileage

all these guys are right on the money. i've got a Wells Cargo 7'x14' single axle, ramp door, no side door.

it does sway a bit and the V-nose does have more room.

7X14 is plenty big. we've put 3 quads and a couple dirtbikes and gear without a prob.

The Wells Cargo is a NICE trailer. no complaints with mine. we got ours becuase the price was right..

I have a 6x12 tandem axle that I use to haul PA equiptment in. It is a cargo craft. The 1 feature that most tandems have over single axle is electric brakes. it is definitly worth the xtra change for them. I used the trailer a few times before i hooked up the brake box and almost plowed into somebody tring to stop it in a rainstorm...needless to say I got my box soon after. Definitly worth the extra money. The only advantage I noticed the single axle has over the tandem is backing up real slow and trying to turn it....the single responds a lil quicker where the tandem u got to kind of push it.

Anyone looking for a fairly good deal on an enclosed trailer , the guy that runs the Drags around my area has one that he used to haul his Rail dragster in . He's asking $3000 which I believe is in Canadian prices . Check it out .... can't miss a deal like this .

Detro Trailers is the place you're probably thinking of...great prices and selection, IMHO.

I bought my 7x14 enclosed trailer w/ramp and side door there...and I'm actually thinking about selling it for something bigger. Interested Doibugu2???
