If you brothers could help out a newbie I would greatly appreciate it. My quad is a 2002 300ex for reference.

1. Will adding a slip on only exhaust give me increased power/louder sound or do I need the whole exhaust pipe/exhaust canister to make the noticeable gains?

What exhausts are hot items right now that alot of people are going with?

2. I see everyone changes there air filters, how exactly does this increase power and what should I look at to determine what to go with?

3. Any other quick mods I can make to increase power?

Thanks, any help is appreciated.

1. A slip on should be fine for a stock motor but a full system would be better since the 300EX has such a small stock headpipe
Most people will tell you to go with an HMF slip-on with a white brothers header.
2. The exhaust lets more air out of the motor, the airfilter will let more in. A foam filter is good for pretty much any type of riding, while a K&N doesn't work well in muddy or dusty conditions.
3. How quick, cam, carb bigger bore, all do quite a bit for the 300.
