Adj. valves/cam

I am installing a hotcam stg1 cam in my 400ex, what do i adjust my valve to, thanks?

THIS IS ASSUMING YOU HAVE A 400EX. VALVE SETTINGS ARE DIFFERENT FOR OTHER BIKES

You new cam should have come with a red "Valve setting" card (as they put it) as well as a set of instructions and a small white piece of paper that says not to remove the decompression mechanism from the old cam as the new HotCam doesn't use it and not to remove the gear holder from the HotCam.

According to the card on a HotCam that was purchased 60 days ago, the Intake valve lash should be .13mm and the Exhaust valve lash should be .15mm

Valve lash should be set with the engine COLD.

Don't forget to remove the decompression spring and plunger from the engine before you put the new cam in!!!
