what travel does elka have over, the 400ex stock suspension, and what els is better about elka

The increase in travel is going to depend on which models you get. For standard a-arms, you will see an increase of 2" on the front and 1" on the rear or 2" if you get the LT linkage option.
Everything about Elka shocks is going to be better an stock. It like asking how much better is a Corvette than a Chevette.
