Hi all,

Can I still use my stocker brake lines with +2 a arms? How would I mount them to the new a arms?

Thx,

Glamis

Stock lines won't be long enough, you will need some +2 stainless brake lines. You can zip tie them to the upper arms.

Thanks Jeff,

I remember someone on here posting a pic of a double zip-tie method with a peice of tubing or something. I would like to see that pic again if the poster reads this.

You can use Stock brake lines on +2 a-arms. You have to get new lines for +2+1 or +3...... The stainless Steel lines would be better than stock though.

They will fit, but they stretch way to much when you turn to full steering lock! The lines will get week from stretching and you will loose the feel of your brakes do to line swell were the stretched.

They will work fine...but yes over time the stock rubber brake lines do swell after use.

Your looking for the pic where you use a little piece of hose to keep the lines from rubbing on the a-arms. i am the one who posted that pic but i erased it off my comp and dont remember where I found it!

Here's the pic with the tube between the lines and the a-arms,,kinda blurry but you can probably get the idea..

The Stock Lines are long enough, but if you have the extra Money I would get some Stainless Lines. They will give you a better feel at the Lever and make you Stop Faster.

You must have just done that here lately. I remember you telling me you just had them tied straight to the a-arms!!

We've been running stock brake lines on both quads, both have +2 A-Arms, for about 2 years without a problem. Dave from JD Performance runs stock lines on his +2 +1 A-Arms as well. No problems on any of these bikes. Neither of us are real easy on our rides either.
