whats the deal with my scott grips?? they wouldnt go on my new moose racing handlebars for ANYTHING, are they too small or are they supposed to stretch out?? i tried sliding them on without glue to make sure i had my throttle in the right place, will the glue make them slide on easier?? cuz i didnt want to put the glue on, and end up not having enough room to slide the whole grip on, know what i mean? thanks..

all grips are like that. put some wd40 or hairspray on them to make em slip on easier.

try hair spray it will work as ur glue and ur lubricant and ya its a lil tricky o get them on

that hairspray or wd-40 wouldnt affect the glue later on, would it? cuz i first want to just slide them on to make sure i have enough room, then take 'em off and glue them

oh, the hairspray would act as glue?

Also it helps to boil them in some water to soften them up so they'll stretch a bit easier. later

Do not use WD40 to put your grips on!!! Go to Napa and ask for 3M Weatherstrip adheasive. Put some on the bar and inside the grip. They will slide on easily and once they have dried overnight, they will not slip....ever! This is what the pros use to install grips. You will get alot of opions on what to use to put your grips on but most all of them do not work. Do it right the first time.

I just use the Honda Grip glue and man does that stuff work killer! There isnt a set of grips that I didnt have to cut off after putting them on with that stuff. Have NEVER had them slip one bit... As far as the Hairspray goes, its all good until some water gets under your grips and loosens it up....

Funny you mention that, the Honda grip glue is actully 3M Weatherstrip adheasive in Honda's own package. The reason I said to get the 3M is because the 3M goes in a tube that is 3 times the size of the Honda tube for the same price and you can pick it up from Napa or any auto parts store that carries 3M products.

Yep i learned the hard way... i was racing and the first turn my right grip slid off and i almost went with it cus it was loose and with my handlebars the stock bar ends wouldn't fit which let the grip slide right off So im def gunna get me some of that 3M stuff for sure
