my buddy has one. it sits higher compared to a warrior... it was pretty cool to ride though. i liked it as a mess around bike.

i wouldnt put a beginner on a 400 man. thats like puttin a 9 year old behind the wheel of a car. i would say the raptor 350 and 300ex are probablly the best beginner bikes. they have decent power and are easy to manover and operate, and both have bullet proof engines with excellent reliability.

I was curious about the Raptor 350 myself. Sure, it's only a 350 but it weighs less than the 400's out there so it may not exactly get left in the dust, especially with some suspension upgrades. It's the Warrior motor, which has proven itself over the last decade+ to be a very reliable motor and it makes decent power....it was just saddled with all the weight of the Warrior bike itself, which was built like an M-1 Abrams. For just about $5,000 brand new it seems like a good deal. At about 270 lbs, it wouldn't be powerful enough for me in the long run, but a smaller lighter guy or gal could surely tear it up pretty well with one as a casual rider.

ya, i need something to learn on, im not very heavy either so i was thinking that a 350 would be a good beginner quad. also i like the reverse too

I've got one and it is a great bike.Compared to the warrior, the rap 350 is a whole lot more comfortable and can fit a taller rider pretty comfortable also.Performance wise the rap 350 is about 1-2mph faster on top end and is quicker accelerating, but a big plus over the warrior is the improved throttle response.I've had mine about 8 months now and have had no problems, besides a flat tire.
