Man I am excited. I may be getting a loaded 02 Dodge SLT 4x4 1500 Quad cab. This thing is awesome. Its white has 20" wheels, heated leather seats , power every thing, Infinity sound system,5.9L magnum v8. Best of all I'll finally have something to load the 440ex into and go ride when ever i want. The salesman said that everything looks good and he's almost sure I can get it after he ran my credit and everything but I have to wait till monday to find out. He is letting me drive it all week end so its gonna suck if things dont work out and I have to give it back. Keep your fingers crossed for me guys. I'm gonna pull her in the garage to see if I can get some decent pics to see what you guys think.

I love the way the dodges look, esp lifted. The only thing i dont like about them is the gas mileage.

Very nice! I love how they look in white when they're clean. I have an '04 quad cab SLT 4X4. It's an SLT so it has all the basic power options (windows, mirrors, locks, "upgraded" cloth interior, rear window/side view mirror defrosters, etc) and it just has the basic 17" chrome wheels. I gave up the 20" rims and Laramie package to get the hemi engine. For me, it was definitely a worthwhile trade off and kept the price down around $25G's. The hemi/5-spd trans, bedliner, and sliding rear window are the only other options it has. I really didn't like the 20" rims at first, and thought they looked goofy. Now, after 6 months of weeing other trucks with them, I've changed my mind and I'm keeping my eye open for some take-offs.

First thing I did was ditch the factory CD player/stereo. That's the worst factory system I've heard since the early 1990's! The head unit only sends about 35% power to the rear speakers. I popped in a pretty cheap Kenwood KDC 3022 CD head unit with 50 watts/ch and wow, what a difference even with the stock speakers. It's also Sirius-ready so I put that in too.

The space under the rear seat is great for storage and it's all carpeted so you don't get stuff clanging around back there. The tie-down anchors are a little tough sometimes. It's tough to fit the hooks of normal size tie downs through them.

Fuel mileage is no worse than any other full-size truck I've owned. My last truck was an '02 F-150 supercab 4X4 with the 4.6 V8. Despite being a full liter smaller and having over 100HP less, that truck got worse mileage because you had to keep your foot in it all the time to get it going. Same with smaller trucks with 6 cylinders....they typically do no better than full size V8 trucks on fuel. The hemi just limps along and barely has to breath hard to cruise down the highway at 75mph or haul a 600lb load of stone down the street at 45 mph. If you drive it like a racecar, hell yes the mileage will take a nosedive!

I wish this one had a hemi. But I cant afford 25 g's. I got lucky with this one at 19 g's. The stereo in this one is great! It has an infinity system. The has mine with the magnum is really bad. It gets about 13mpg and thats driving very very easy. Thanks for the compliments guys. I have always been a Chevy man but after driving this thing I just fell in love with it. Scott-300 thanks man its set up for trails right now but I'm just getting into MX. Flat tracking would be cool but dont know where to run at.
