Has anyone come out with mounts to install 450R calipers on 400EX spindles.I know they make them to put 250R brakes on 400EX,but I want to put 450R brakes on.

I know that I can get the spidles, hubs, and brakes. I just dont want to have to get new spindles and hubs allover again.

Any help wound be great. Thanks!

Are you going to change all of it out or have you found mounts?

Thanks for all the input guys. I am going to go ahead and swap it all out. I am working on getting the parts that I need now.

I have done this on my CRF450. You MUST buy the spindles, calipers, and hubs for this to work. The rotors will swap though. The reason that you must buy new hubs is because they are inset about 1/2" more than the 400ex. Just to let you know, if you are running a 4:1 rim on the front you might have problems with it hitting on your top ball joint. I have the Roll Design Lobo II front end and it hit on the top heim. To fix this I went with a fake 4:1 rim and now it misses by about 1/8". I can get you the spindles and calipers brand new from Honda for $225 if anyone wants this conversion. I have a set in my shop, but I beleive it is sold. I may look into a conversion though and let you guys know what I come up with. How much would you everyone be willing to spend for a billet conversion peice and how many people are interested in it? You would only need to purchase the calipers then which are about $45 a piece!

I did some checking and measuring the other night and this Will work. All I need to do is get the machine work done! You will have to take the holders off of the calipers and replace it with a new billet machined one. I don't know what the cost will be, but hopefully for $200 you can have a brand new set of 450R calipers and the adapters! I also did some checking on the rear CRF caliper and that will be a simple conversion of just replacing the stock holder with new one. Hopefully, for less than $50.

Hey,
Any more info on these adaptors so far. I want to wait for these instead of buying all the parts for the front and rear.

Sorry, but I've been trying to get a hold of my machinest for 2 weeks now but he has yet to return my call. I live 2 states away and he is always hard to get a hold of. I'm trying everyone because I know these will be a hot item.

The guy who was going to do my machine work must have closed up shop. Does anyone live in Ohio to confirm this because his number is disconnected now. It is Meszaros Motorsports. I've tried for 3 months to contact him and no one ever answers. I leave a message every time with no return. I have a couple of other places that may be able to do this for me. I'll try to keep an update.

Whenever I did talk to someone they always seemed to act like everything was just fine. Then about 3 months ago no one would answer or return my calls. He tole me he had a huge order for steering stems to someone and things were going great. Do you know what happened to them? Is there another way to contact them because I would like to get some of his left over stuff? Thanks
