Air Box

I unlatched the seat to take a look at the air filter, and the filter box cover was not on, is there a reason that the buddy i bought this from didn't put it back on.

he jetted it without the lid on so it will run and preform faster/better

Who ever you bought it from probly put a pipe on it and is just tryin to get more air flow for the bike. Its no big deal to have it off i ride with it off and i just have outwear.
