Soon I am going to rebuild the top end on my 400ex and I can get either a GWC 416 JE kit with a St. 2 Hotcam and gaskets for 300$, or I can get a Wiseco 440 pistion and St. 2 Hotcam with gaskets for 300$ also. I ride pretty much everything and was wondering which would be more reliable and faster ( with the 440 I would get the heavy duty studs). oh yah 11:1 compression. I know there are alot of posts on this but thanks.

I would stick with the Je 416. This allows you to go bigger at a later date. I personally wouldn't run a Wiseco piston. I have seen to many Wiseco 440's smoking, but that is just my opinion.

Go with the 416 and if you got the money do the head studs anyway. If you can get a 426 kit then I would do that. Either way, the 416 or the 426 will rev faster than the 440 and make similar power so either of those are better options...

I personally havent had a problem whatsoever with my wiseco piston, but if you want to go with JE or Ross or whatever thats fine...
