It depends on what needs done. If it is just a drop in cam and there are no HD valve springs/ HD rocker arms required, then I would say yes. I am doing my engine up with a cam, springs, rockers, but my grandpa is helping me and we have the proper tools to do the springs. For me a drop in cam would be very easy to do and I am only 14. So I would have to say if you have any experience with motors then it should be no problem.

if you do, make sure to tighten the cam sprocket bolts...i didnt check, or mess with them because the card that came with my hotcam said not to mess with them

and this is what happens

also those bolts got the cam chain in a bind and broke it so...to save yourself some money, make sure to loctate the hell out of those bolts

here is what my project looked like when i had to replace the cam/cam chain, after that happened

If you have any mechanical knowledge, you should be able to put in a cam easy! Just get a manual and take your time, don't try to rush it! Im 18 and have been working on vehicles for 12 years :D Its a good skill to have!

I second that, i'm 20 and have been doing this stuff for years, its not hard if its a drop in cam, like a hotcam. i did my 416 myself and it runs strong after 150 hrs.
