Need some help with jetting etc.

Im new here, but i have been reading the posts unregistered for a couple. My question: I have a 97 300 ex and i put a K+N power kit and a FMF Megamax with header on it, no other mods. The stock main jet is a 122 but following the instructions i jumped to a 128. It seems to be running just fine as it has been for about a month but while out riding, another rider was asking me about my header. It is blue/purple a little past the bend from the heat. He thought i was running lean -- what do you guys think?? Should i go up to a 130 MJ?

Does anyone happen to have a 130 MJ sitting around that i could send you a envelope with like 4-5 bucks for??

come on, somebody must know. Is it ormal for it to run that hot that the pipe turns blue lke a foot out into the header?

hi 300. i don't know what the elavation is where you are. where i am it is about 2000 feet above sea level and when i had the same mods i had to use a 130 jet. so try it and check your plug
