No, it is against the law. LOL, just kiddin. Yes you can run them, but the chrome doesn't last as long obviously. For MX I would go with powdercoat. Also, I believe Burgard has Nickel plate that is better. When parts are chromed they are dipped in acid that potentially weakens the chromoly.

The metal is weakened from chrome after something like 3 years or something...it might have been 5 years even. After that long of having chrome a-arms most likely the chrome will be in such badshape that you would want to replace the arms anyway so its really not too big of a deal.
