Anyone in Canada , or in the Northern states , know what these things are . I used to have so much fun on these . I've busted my lip up pretty good on them also and seen lotta broken bones . Who else has done this before ???

I bought mine at Wal-Mart when I was a kid . They have them there and at most sporting good stores up here . They even make the Adult size GTs now . :D Try getting pulled on one by a Ski-Doo Mach 1 700cc ... wear a helmet and hang on for dear life .... cuz 60 miles per hour on one of those things is INTENSE !!!!

Sweet, if they set up on a nice downhill landing I bet they could jump another 10-15 feet.

I've jumped and seen guy jump well over 50 feet on them . I still remember the day my cousin smacked a tree and lost a tooth also .... they can be pretty dangerous ... I seen lotta broken legs , ankles and wrists ... especially ankles . Guys get their ankles caught under while they land .. and SNAP ... They are fun though . Me and bussies usually get liquored up at our Fishing shack and go ride down the hill .... good times .

are you guys talking about gt snow racers? because most of the ones you guys see are homemad snow bikes... they use a steering head off a bmx bike and ther eown frame and see and skis off a snow racer i think

I got one, I took off the round steering wheel and added my downhill bars with bar clamp. Although I think its time to make my own frame. The stock one bent in two when we were hiting the 6foot kicker.. about 40 ft gap. Its sick, it doesnt hurt when you bail, unless the GT lands on you.

Doesn't that just suck . I remember getting hit in the face with the front ski once .... it left a mark . :grr: I used to have a video on the computer of my buddies going downhill all juiced .... they hit a jump and wiped out ( went down 2 ppl on one GT) and my buddy never spilt his beer the whole way down . :blah:

I know the perfect thing you can use for the skis.

Go on Ebay and search for skiboards or snow blades. Their the same thing as normal skis, but their only 99cm long, instead of 170+cm like regular skis.

Now they'll last alot longer than anything you try to make yourself, but they'll add a few pounds of weight to the sled.

i was going to take a sheet of aluminum, make 2 cut outs, then tac them togather, your idea sounds safer lol, thanks it should be done for the snow sunday :D
