Ok we all know Honda's are cold natured. Went out to start my 400ex and choked it and everything and I pretty much ran my battery down trying to crank it. Any suggestions on starting in cold weather??

had the same problem bro.... does it sound like its about to start?? well thats what mine did and i kept leaving the choke on and turning it off when i pressed the start button. the battery ended up going dead.... i charged it and checked the spark plug yes it was wet so i cleaned it off with a rag. the battery was now full and i tryed starting it a couple of times and it started like it was sick so i kept starting it and messed around with the idle and it warmed up and was ready to go. hope this helped u at all

Try pumping the gas like 3 times then hit the start button, sometimes that works. Good luck.

you can try pop starting. thats what i had to do at the e-town race because it was cold out. either that of jump it off a car and sooner or later it will start. the heat shield would work great too

keep it in the garage. i once had to start it at like 5*F cause it was parked outside at my friends overnight. use full choke and give it a little throttle (not a whole lot, just enough so it can run). then keep it like that for a few minutes until it can idle withotu choke. from my experience the 400ex is VERY cold-blooded. (compared to a pred, but i guess the ex is more so then anything else)

if your cant keep it in the garage take a torch to the plug. Always works on the really really hard starts

My 250x is stored in an unheated garage. I hadnt rode in three weeks since yesterday. It took me lie 50 kicks to get it started but once i did it ran like a champ. The only thing it takes is a little time. Once you get it started and runnin well, just keep starting it every couple days if possible.
