I pulled my Pro curcuit t-4 exhaust off my 400ex today to repack it and noticed there is a pretty good size crack in the weld. Its the weld at the lower mount close to the header pipe.

Its still strong and doesn't seem like it will break off. It looks like when they were welding the mounts on, they welded all the way through to the inside of the pipe.

I was thinking of just putting it back on cracked cuz I don't feel like spending $300 for a new one. My question is what is the down side of having a crack in the exhaust?

My quad seems pretty fast still. Doesn't this rob alot of hp? Also is this something Pro curcuit would warranty cuz their welds go all the way through the other side?

yeah just get it re-welded. I had to get my old e-series welded up many times. Much cheaper than a new exhaust:rolleyes:

Once again, as said above, just weld 'er up, no point in taking a risk of it ruining a ride with friends or what not, and then taking it off again to get it rewelded... just do it now-darren
