Valving Diffrance

I know the 250r and the 400ex shocks are adaptable. The shocks are the same length, BUT the valving is diffrant. Is it possible to to have the valving setup for the other bike? And how would it effect the riding?

The valving specs are only slightly different, my recomendation is to ride them and then make notes of anything that may feel off then let the shock tuner know what was happening. This will be better than just sending them in and saying to set these up for the bike their going on.
