Travel tips?

well I found out that im heading out to China this summer. Its a long flight from Indiana! Are there any tips you have for someone traveling over seas for the first time. I will be in hong kong for one week, then fly to beijing for another week. I know Hong Kong is a very modern city, that speaks english, but when i go to beijing, im screwed.

Anyone ever been there??? I think it will be an awesome experience. I get to see the great wall, stay in a top hotel, and watch little chinese people in an acrobatic show!! (life long dream) haha

I can't wait. This year was my first time flying since i was two, and it was only a 4 hour flight. Now i have to sit in a plane for 18 hours. I'm sure somewhere here is a national traveler. Thanks,

Bring electrical adaptors, I think you need them in China. Also, the dollar is extremely valuable there, don't carry too much or at least hide some of it. I would keep about 200 in your shoe and about 50 in your pockets, you may get mugged. Have fun!
