go under the truck and count how many holes there are in the frame? it may take a while. do you think all them holes make the frame stronger??lmmfao

That's awsome!!! I just hope you have more luck with the new chevys then I have :( We had a 95 chevy that was very nice, and ran perfect for 5 years with no problems. Then we traded that one in on a 00 Chevy, worst thing we could have done! Nothing but problems, after the first 500km it had leaky front end seals, transmission problems, etc. It got so bad that the the dealership even exchanged that truck for a new 01. We're still having problems with this one, but at least it's not as bad as the 2000! I guess I'll have to try Ford next...

Tommy, you'll really like the Autotrac. When the weather got chitty here Monday night I just pressed the Auto button and continued on in 2WD. I was going around a corner at an intersection that hadn't been plowed yet and just as the rear end started to break free you felt the front wheels grab and correct the truck. After you get straightened out you're back in 2WD saving MPG and excessive wear on the front end!

guy thats exactly why we got it...

my moms gonna drive it when it gets really bad out so we don't want her to have to worry about putting it in and out... just push the button when u see its bad out and it'll do the rest for u...

My has a locking rear diff. and is not a Z71. actually my truck sucks in the snow. too much power. too heavy a motor (too much weight up front) and it can get sideways WAYS to easy driving down the road in the snow.

Nice truck tommy. I am sure you will like it!

you have the same options as normal but you add the auto button

auto
2wd
4w High
4w Low

if you are in auto it will take you in and out of 4x4 when ever you need it

ummm no... you are completely wrong.

The G80 locking diff can be ordered on any truck - it is NOT limited to the Z71 package!

as a matter of fact, my work truck is a 2004 2wd and has a locking rear end. My 1999 Z71 has the same rear end - G80.

lol funny... i did that to a friend back when i had a 4x4 jeep lol. friends chevy got stuck and had someone with a ford pull him out :D

my Zq8 has that same locker, its not a bad locker for a factory thing. nothing like a factory sport truck that can lay a nice fat pair of skidmarks
