Does anyone know if I can use a 88-89 swingarm on my 86 chassic? Thanks

no, 86-87 mount to the rear of the motor like the 400ex. a 88-89 is solid and only mounts to the frame... understand?

Yes you can put the 88-89 swingarm on the 86, you should put a crossbrace in the frame like the 88-89 has tho to keep frame flex down.

how is it going to fit in a 86 chassis when the 86-87 was like the 400ex and mounted to the motor also?? maybe i will learn something also.

The pivot bolt does not run through the motor on the 86-87, it runs through a removeable bracket. It is nothing like the 400ex.

alright... gotcha now. i guess i need to tear apart a few more 86-87-r's... i looked around and i see where it mounts now.. yeah i guess it will work
