Lets see... where to start.... if your just going to do a somewhat minor port job, just smooth out the curves, take out the high spots, and make sure to knife edge the intake bridge... and say your looking at the bridge from the side, it should be in sort of a " ) "shape, like drag it so its longer, kinda hard to explain. make sure to make bolth side equal(as in left and right... not intake and exaust). good luck. -darren

Use the old machinist rule....Straight line of sight. The air will flow better the less turns it has to make. Any sharp turns should be widened as much as possible. Make sure any edges are contoured nice and smooth with no edges. And last but the very most important in cyl head porting.......BIGGER ISNT ALWAYS BETTER!!! If you have a 416 or less, you may be better off just simply polishing. If you have a 440 or bigger, some added volume may help some. If you cut the sheeot out of it and make it huge on a stock bore engine, its gonna run like fido's as.s.;)

what i was gonna do is sharpin up the intake bridge, make it a straighter shot to the vavles, and do a clean up on the inprefections, and polish the exhaust maybe open in up a lil bit, is that ok to do?
