350X engine in 300ex frame.

I want to put a 350x engine in my 300ex, right but i don't know any places to get a 350x engine. i was wondering if anybody knew where some are.

Yeah, the best place is to keep an eye on ebay.

I've got one, but it wouldn't be cheap. It has a few scratches from being moved around, and the outside is a little dirty from sitting around for 20 years, but I gurantee this motor has never been started, so the internals should be in brand new condition.

Crate engines sell on ebay for about $1100. Mine isn't quite as pretty, so I'd be willing to sell for $850, and I'd clean it up as best as I could.

In all honesty, you could probably find a used motor for less.

I bought a 86 350x motor in excellent condintion with a big bore kit on ebay for $450. That is where I would go, but if "wilkin250r" has a crate motor for $850, I would also consider that.

i know where you can get that already made... a guy on another forum is selling a 300ex with a 350x engine already all hooked up, all fabbed perfectly. check it out

A 350X vs a 300EX? Big difference, nearly as much as going from a 300EX to a 400EX.

The Yami Warrior motor (also 350cc 4-stroke) is more along the lines of the 300EX and even 250X, while the Honda 350X motor is a bit more high-performance, and is more like the 400EX.

im not sure what the 350x's displacement is, probly a little under 350cc, but the 300ex is only 282cc so your looking at a nice big gain in engine size plus that extra gear is probly so awesome to have, coming from a 5 speed...
