How good do the 12 paddle haulers turn? Are they a good overall tire?

12 paddle tires are recommened for very high HP motors. I have 8 paddle Haulers on a 400ex and do fine but that's all i've used. Some say 6 paddle tires work better.

Turning with straight paddles isn't difficult but V-paddles are easier.

Straight paddles give you better acceleration off the line, like in drag racing. V paddles still have descent acceleration, but not as good as the straight ones. V paddles also allow you to turn easier than the straight, because the straight paddles have a tendency to push the quad in the direction the paddles are pointing. But i heared turning with straight paddles is not that bad, just takes some body language and finnese.

Straights vs. V's?

Straights have better straight line hook up for dragging, hill climbing......

V's are easier to turn...

The way the tire is made may have an affect also. The molded tires are generally heavier and the vulcanized are generally lighter.

I used 8 paddle haulers on my r, and they worked pretty well. I wouldn't use any more than that with a smaller motor.
