View Full Version : Oil to Run in Cold weather

What oil should i be running for winter months. i've been running Mobil 1 15W50 for a while now and need to run a 10W40 oil for winter but what 10W40 is a synthetic that is not bad for the clutch???

I run Klotz 10-40 year round, best stuff I've ever used, its fully synthetic and safe for wet clutches.

I also run the klotz 10w-40, and haven't had any problems in the cold. I ran the mobile 1 red cap in my old motor, little thick but if your quad is in a garage I don't see it hurting anything.

the 4 wheeler is not in a heated garage and its a B**** to start now that its cold out

i use mobil 1 synthetic 4 stroke motorcycle oil and its awesome. im pretty sure its 10w40

i have the web cam stuff and webcam told me to run valvoline sae 30 and so far i haven't had a prob with it although u have to let the bike warm up and not just jump on it. Everyone says fun synthetic but webcam says DO NOT USE SYNETHIC
