Most might think overboard, but there is no way I'm going to tear down again after a crank installation because I negleted to replace a seal, bearing, or gasket. It might cost another $200 in your rebuild price, but its worth not having to split the cases again to replace a torn seal or an old bearing. This is probally common sense to most, but I hear ppl always trying to save a buck. Is the buck saved really worth the price of a teardown to replace an old part?

Hope this helps.

Thought I'd share pictures of the HOT CAMS TRX450R VALVE SHIM KIT. The kit is overboard for the person changing one cam, but it's great for someone who is installing cams in more than one motor. ;)

Each shim in the kit works out to be about $0.50 each. each size has 3 shims. ~140 shims in all. I'll end up selling some of the shims to ppl on their cam install.

hope this helps.

the seal, gasket, bearings is not a kit. I went through the entire microfische and extracted p/n's

the HOT CAMS valve shim kit can be purchased from hot cams website.

hope this helps.
