YEAH I WAS OUT TALKIN TO LAZ(GT-THUNDER) AND HE TOLD ME HE COULD REVALVE MY REAR SHOCK AND GET ME HIS LINKAGE FOR $250, AND IT WOULD ONLY TAKE A COUPLE DAYS TO DO, BUT THE QUESTION I WAS WONDERING, DOES ANYBODY KNOW HOW MUCH HE CHARGES TO CHANGE THE REAR SHOCK TO ZPS?
I FORGOT TO ASK HIM & FIGURED I WOULD ASK AROUND HERE BEFORE CALLING OUT THERE MONDAY.

P.S. - I GOT THE REAR SHOCK REBUILT AND CHANGED TO ZPS ON MY 250R A WHILE BACK, I CANT REMEMBER HOW MUCH IT WAS, I THINK IT WAS PRETTY EXPENSIVE ACTUALLY.
THANKS ALOT,
MIKE

On the GT thunder setup the linkage is what lowers the rear end so if you get the link and get zps then the rear of your quad will be way to low the link alone lowers like 2" or around there.

I talked to laz today and he said that this set-up does not require you to go with zps in the rear. I am planning on going with zps aftermarket shocks up front and he said that the rear set-up works good with the zps fronts.
so thats how i plan on doing it.

Tell me what you think of it when you get it, I'm planning on sending mine there soon to get it revalved. How do you like your sparks cam? I have one of them coming too.

Alright I will let everyone know how it is when i get it done. It might not be for a little bit yet. Dont know when i am going to drop it off yet. I dont know about the cam yet, havent rode the bike yet with anything on it.:(
Really havent rode the quad at all. i got it in the later part of Oct. and rode it around a little for one, two days and put it up for winter build.

It is not right to go ZPS front and not rear, they will work against each other. I thought I could get by with out the rear, and it seemed fine. Until I finally did the rear, WOW !! what a difference it makes with all 3 working together, call Paul at TCS, he can fill you in on why this won't work, I just know it was a whole lot better with them matching,, jmo.. Laz says it will work fine, if it needed zps wouldnt he put it in there?

he doesnt install the ZPS because its NOT needed. iv had this rear setup for a few months now and i love it. it works perfectly fine with my elka's, it acuctally works better then my elkas.

no problem, after getting his rear setup, and it working better then my elka's, im sending him my front elkas to revalve/respring. he said he converts them to a dual rate, which works better for my needs, which are gncc.

I have his MX linkage w/ revalved stock shock and long travel front end and I love it Laz Knows what he's talking about when it comes to suspension.

whitezee did you run an Elka rear before the GT setup?? Are you not happy with your Elka fronts? I race XC also looking for any tips on suspension. What was the turn around time on your rear from GT thunder.

Yeah i had zps front and rear on my 250r and i loved that, thats why i asked laz about it, but i am going to take his word on this, that it will work without zps rear. I go out there to his shop alot and he is really smart when it comes to set-ups.

beak7707- when i talked to him this past week he said he could get it done in a day or two.
(i figured it would take alot longer, since it seems everyone is going with this set-up)
