Is there anybody other than Ricky Stator that makes the large ( http://rickystator.com/media/BAJA.GIF ) baja style headlights? I like his style because it is removeable. But am wondering if anyone else make something like it. Do the smaller Trail Tech lights work better than the stock 400EX lights? I am just trying to make my mind up on what to do for lights.

Holding a flashlight would be better than stock 400ex lights. I have TT on my warrior and they work great. It is tough to beat stock warrior lights anyway, but they are better. Got them used off Ebay, they were a demo model. For my 450R I am going with their HID set up all around.

My stock 400EX lights seemed to work pretty good. Except I think I needed a carbon fiber hood worse, so I cut my stock lights off and mounted my hood. Maybe I will have to get a set off the Trail Tech lights and give them a try since they are cheaper.

My stock 400ex lights work fine. But I just wish I could find the 'blue' (or hyper white) bulbs for it...

Double check. But I think these are the only ones that I have found. http://www.piaa.com/Powersports/piaa-powersports/ATVbulbs.html

But then maybe they were for the wifes Metro scooter, but I don't think so. Good luck!

for them Ricky Stator lights, can you really just "plug them in" or what else do you need to do? Also how many watts are these lights?

Below is exactly what the site says.

Without question-the best lighting system available for the Honda 400 EX & TRX250R. The 9" Maxtell lights in conjunction with the powder coated steel protective light bar make up a durable and affordable setup. Whether you are racing the Baja 1000, crusin' the dunes or blazing through the woods, this unit has done all and come through with winning colors. Just drill holes in your plastic above you shock towers and bolt it on and plug it in, adjust your lights and go.

I kinda like them because you never see anybody else with a setup like that. Also they should work awesome!

I had this setup on my 416...yes they work great and remove in 3 bolts. This was running off the stock stator. I believe 35w

There were quite a few teams running these at the 12 Hours Of America, I ran the PIAA lights which helped but those Baja lights were outstanding,.
Trail Tech also makes one that uses your stock lighting coil, I think they are around 400 bucks. Definitely the best lighting you can get!!!! Z #6

Last I checked I still haven't won the lottery!! Dual 8" halogen for a 400ex are $810 and dual 8" HID are $1569. WOW:eek2: I thought the $239 for the Ricky Stator lights were a little more than I wanted to spend. Nice lights but WOW!!
